Ms. Ieva Baršauskaitė is currently second secretary of the Permanent Mission of Lithuania in Geneva. She horizontally co-ordinates the Lithuanian positions in the WTO negotiations. In addition, she represents Lithuania at the WTO Council for Trade in Goods and its subsidiary bodies, in WTO dispute settlement cases, and the WTO Rules committees (antidumping, subsidies, safeguards). Previously, she was the Chairperson of the WTO Committee on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures. She has worked at the Permanent Mission of Lithuania previously, during the Lithuanian presidency of the EU Council which coincided with the conclusion of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement negotiations in Bali ministerial conference, as well as the preparatory stages of launching of the Environmental Goods Agreement negotiations (which she was responsible for later on in Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs). As of December 2018, she is the vice-chair of the OECD working party on Trade and Environment. She holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy from Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas (Lithuania).
