Inge is currently working as Director of Policy, Advocacy and External Affairs, leading a team of over 10 people. She previously worked as Senior EU Advocacy Officer of CARE International, a humanitarian and development NGO working in 94 countries worldwide with a focus on gender equality and women's empowerment. Before CARE, she worked as Advocacy and Communication Officer for VOICE, the European Network of humanitarian NGOs. In addition, she completed a PhD in political science, specialised in forced migration with a study about livelihoods, integration and transnationalism in the Burmese refugee community in Thailand. Inge started her career with UNODC in Myanmar. Inge is Belgian, lives close to Ghent and has a daughter.

Inge has given a number of speeches at international academic conferences. In addition, she has given speeches in the European Parliament and for European think-tanks, and has done numerous interventions during public events and meetings.

Really happy that @EPSocialAffairs voted on a report to improve minimum income schemes in member states, which denounces discrimination based on age & minimum contribution periods.Young people must be able to access social benefits if needed,just like anyone else!#ForYouthRights
