As Policy and Advocacy Coordinator, Lonne coordinates the work of on Sustainable Development and Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development within CONCORD, the European NGO confederation for Relief and Development. CONCORD's 28 national associations, 21 international networks and 3 associate members represent 2,600 NGOs across Europe.
In 2015, she was seconded to Beyond 2015 to become the European Regional Coordinator, where she coordinated civil society at regional level to influence the intergovernmental negotiation process in the run up to the UN Sustainable Development Summit in New York. Lonne became part of CONCORD’s policy team in September 2011 and worked with a wide range of members on issues such as the Multiannual Financial Framework 2014-2020, EU delegations, the role of the private in development, an Enabling Environment for Civil Society (including funding), the Cotonou Partnership Agreement, a Human Rights Based Approach, Quality and Quantity of Aid, as well as more overarching development policy processes such as the EU’s Agenda for Change.
Before joining CONCORD, she worked as a Policy Officer for 11.11.11 on Decent Work, the Millennium Development Goals and European Development Policy, when she participated on behalf of the Belgian National Platform in various CONCORD working structures. She gained her first work experience at the Europe and Newly Independent States Department of the United National Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) based in Vienna, focusing on Energy and Environment, Trade Capacity Building and Poverty Reduction.
