Marta Soprana is a trade policy advisor, researcher and project manager specialized in trade in services and digital trade.
Founder of TradePol Consulting, a boutique advisory firm providing technical assistance on international trade policy issues, she has worked as a consultant for a number of international organizations - including FAO, ITC, UNCTAD, World Bank and WTO - and national governments. Ms Soprana also acquired significant experience working with the private sector, supporting firms’ efforts to access and operate in foreign markets.
Author and co-author of a number of publications on e-commerce and trade in services-related issues, Ms Soprana is currently pursuing a PhD in International Law and Economics at Bocconi University. Her research focuses on digital trade governance. She also holds a Master in International law and Economics (MILE) from the World Trade Institute (WTI) in Bern, a Master in internationalization of SMEs from the Italian Trade Agency in Rome, and a MA in International Relations and Diplomatic studies from the University of Bologna.
