Petra Regeni is a research and project officer at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) Europe in Brussels and in the Terrorism and Conflict research group at RUSI. She works as a member of the Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN) Policy Support for RUSI Europe and as a coordinator for the Extremism and Gaming Research Network. Before joining RUSI Europe, she worked in the research and analysis department at Hedayah, including the STRIVE Global radical right narratives reports and other P/CVE research and events. She also served as a capacity building and third-party monitoring and evaluations officer on development and humanitarian aid projects in Turkey, Iraq, and Syria, with Trust Consultancy in Gaziantep, Turkey. Her research and area of expertise pertains to radicalisation, extremism, and terrorism, including preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE), with a focus on the far-right / right-wing (violent) extremism, online propaganda and narratives, and the transnationalisation and convergence of jihadist and right-wing extremism.
