Introducing the Civil Society Coalition on Gender Equality: Europe’s Feminist Dream Team

Over the past few months, the Brussels Binder has been bringing together Europe’s feminist dream team: the Civil Society Coalition on Gender Equality. This new alliance unites diverse organisations working to advance gender equality and ensure that civil society plays a central role in shaping European policies.

The coalition was created from a shared conviction that progress toward equality requires collective action. By combining expertise across gender, democracy, youth participation, and digital rights, we aim to amplify diverse voices, promote inclusive policymaking, and build lasting cooperation among civil society actors.

As our first joint initiative, the coalition is preparing a collective policy paper to be released ahead of International Women’s Day 2026. This publication will outline our shared priorities and recommendations for advancing gender equality across Europe.
